Join your fellow MINIacs for an afternoon party highlighted by the first Total Solar Eclipse  visible from the continental United States in nearly four decades.

NOTE: You must be in the narrow path of the eclipse to experience it. (You won’t see it from Asheville !!!) We will have a private location in the Smoky Mountains that will be spectacular. Eclipse glasses will be provided to the 50 people that reserve!

We will begin with a morning run starting at the Waynesville Lowes and ending at our private party spot on the edge of the Smokies. In between we’ll have a tour around the scenic Lake Junaluska, travel through Maggie Valley, run the twisties and tunnels on the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, then take the back roads from Cherokee to our private viewing spot.

NOTE: DUE TO THE PREDICTIONS OF EXTREMELY HEAVY TRAFFIC, WE WILL NOT BE DOING THE RUN. DIRECTIONS TO THOSE THAT HAVE RESERVED THE 50 AVAILABLE SPOTS HAVE BEEN EMAILED ON 8/9/17. If you did not get the directions please email Info@AppalachianMountainMINIs.org

We’ll start around noon before the eclipse and have a picnic spread and shelter if the weather is inclement. Feel free to BYOB. The eclipse event starts at about 1PM and lasts to 4PM.

EVENT SHIRT ORDERS CLOSED ON 8/10/17

LATEST NOTE: We have had a few cancellations so THERE ARE NOW A FEW SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE UNTIL WE HIT THE 50 MAXIMUM.
